Longtime RPM band member John Groff to retire

April 11, 2019

RPM Fans,

First of all, thank you for all of your support! You all rock!

We have some big and exciting news to share with you today.

Our long time Keyboard/Trumpet player John Groff (or as we lovingly refer to him, "Johnny 5 / J5") is ready to take a break from touring and focus on family and will be retiring from RPM. John has been an integral part of RPM for over 20 years and has allowed the band to cover a wide range of material with his ability to play keys, organ, trumpet, bass, guitar and toss in some vocals too. Along with his amazing musicianship, John is a great friend and we feel he is like a big brother to all of us. John is going to really be missed by all of us in the band and the fans who have supported RPM for so many years.

We wish John the best of luck in the next part of his journey and we want to thank his wife Rebecca and his entire family for allowing us the privilege of having John be a member of this band for so long. J5 will play his official last public show on April 27th at Anduzzi’s in Kimberly, but he will be filling in now and again over the summer. Please come out on the 27th to show J5 the love!

Thank you John for all the wonderful memories!!
